"When I found out that Mark would have to go through
the surgery, I was very worried and concerned just because
he's so young and -- and him going through that um, I
-- I just remember when my husband told me that, when
he had his tonsils taken out when he was around 12, it
was pretty painful for him and very uncomfortable and
I was just so afraid that Mark would have to go through
that same type of thing.
Our
doctor told us about (the) Coblation procedure that could
be done for Mark and we were very comfortable with the
doctor and I think that was the most important thing.
We decided to go ahead with the Coblation procedure because
we knew it would be the best thing for Mark and having
Mark's best interest in mind it would be the right thing
to do.
Well,
within 24 to 48 hours after the tonsillectomy, Mark was
ready to eat cereal and chips and pizza and I think my
husband and I were more concerned with um, limiting what
-- what he could eat, but he was ready. He was feeling
good."
